c. Sisian Adontsi St., 6a

In 1989, the Sisian History Museum named after Nikogayos Adontsi was founded, which was a branch of the History Museum of Armenia, but in 1993 it received the status of an independent museum.
In front of the entrance you can see the Nikogayos Adontsi monument, whose sculptor is Artashes Hovsepyan.
The exhibition of the museum represents only the territory of Sisian. The museum fund has two parts: archeology and ethnography. Here you can see photos, books, documents and other samples. Of great interest are the exhibitions of carpet art, costumes and crafts of the ethnography department.
In addition to permanent exhibitions, the museum organizes temporary exhibitions and events. Here you can get acquainted with the rich cultural heritage of Syunik.
